My name is Jacob Cronshaw

I am 16 years old, and I have Down Syndrome.

I attend Rockville Center High School in New York, and most years I am on the Honor Roll at school -- but not always. I have many friends at school. We play basket ball, base ball, use computers, and love to have fun.

On the left is me and my sister Crystal Joy. She is two years younger than I am, and we have lots of fun together. We both watch the X-Files together. My father calls Crystal an X-Files junkie. Everyone else just thinks she's kinda weird. But I like the X-Files also!

When I was young I attended school at the Association for Children with Down Syndrome (ACDS). My father used to visit my class and play the banjo. That's me with my mother behind me. My friends at ACDS used to love when my father would come to play and sing with us.

Here I am at 10 years old driving my uncle Charlie's boat on the Crystal River in Florida. I like driving boats. When I get old enough, I would like to own my own boat.

Here I am again driving one of my uncle Charlie's boats.

While I was in Florida, my father and I got to ride in go-carts. We had so much fun racing my sisters.

Here I am sitting on the motorcycle. Riding behind my father was lots of fun with the wind blowing in my face. Maybe when I get old enough, I will be able to drive a motorcycle myself.

In a school play we were husband and wife.

In the above picture we were married in the school presentation of The Princess and the Pea. Maureen has been my princess for nearly 10 years now!

This is my special friend Maureen.

We have been good friends since we attended Covert Elementary School in Rockville Center on Long Island.

We go to school together. In these pictures we are at Camp Anchor which the two of us attend every summer with the rest of our friends.
